Football Preview: Southwest Christian School Eagles vs. All S Saints

Southwest Christian School hasn't had much luck against All S recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Saints at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Southwest Christian School came up short against Trinity Christian and fell 24-14.

Fort Worth Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday All S proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 41-21 margin over the Cardinals. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Southwest Christian School better keep an eye on Gavin Beard. He was instrumental in All S' win, throwing for 293 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 65 yards on only seven carries. Those 65 rushing yards gave Beard a new career-high. All S' leading receiver Hudson Reasor was Beard's top target yet again, picking up 122 receiving yards and one TD.

All S was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

All S didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tim Burton and James Gebhardt. Another thorn in Fort Worth Christian's side was Keyon Adkins, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.

All S' record is now 9-0. As for Southwest Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Southwest Christian School has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 372.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like All S struggles in that department as they've been averaging 387.9 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.

Southwest Christian School was dealt a bruising 50-14 loss at the hands of All S when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 36-7.
