Recap: Dominion Academy Sabers vs. Temple Christian Tigers
The Dominion Academy Sabers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 47-19 win over Temple Christian on the road. Dominion Academy's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Dominion Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel DeDregoria, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Logan Gebhart, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Dominion Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Temple Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dominion Academy will square off against Calvary Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Dayton Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
