Basketball Recap: Antigo Red Robins vs. Mosinee Indians
The Antigo Red Robins lost against the Mosinee Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Antigo was dealt a 78-34 loss at the hands of the Indians. Antigo was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.
Mosinee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landen Thomer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Thomer hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Keagen Jirschele, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Antigo has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Mosinee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Antigo will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Raiders at 7:15 p.m. As for Mosinee, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northland Pines is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
