Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Battle Mountain's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Battle Mountain had won two straight road games and Geovanni Ruvalcaba did his part to make it three on Friday. The Battle Mountain Longhorns breezed by the Silver Stage Nighthawks to the tune of 61-32 thanks in part to Ruvalcaba, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 25 points along with seven steals and six assists. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Adan Nevarez was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Battle Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Silver Stage, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
