Baseball Recap: Negreet Comes Up Short

Negreet came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to the Pickering Red Devils. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 21-7.

Negreet dropped their record down to 5-17 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Pickering, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-15.

Coming up, Negreet will be playing in front of their home fans against Anacoco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Anacoco will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Negreet surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pickering, they will venture away from home to square off against East Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Beauregard has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.77 runs per game on average), something Pickering will no doubt try to take advantage of.
