It was a good run, but Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 13-3 to the Cohoes Tigers. The Ravens were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Alex Halwick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Haydn Sorensen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Cohoes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will challenge rival Mohonasen at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cohoes is set to face off against their familiar foe La Salle Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.8, the Cadets 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
