Basketball Recap: Marshall Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Marshall Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 63-16 loss at the hands of the Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen. The Stallions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-9.

Glen Iris Baptist's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebekah Everett, who posted 16 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Everett is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.

Marshall Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Glen Iris Baptist, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

As of now, neither Marshall Christian Academy nor Glen Iris Baptist have any future games scheduled.
