Soccer Recap: Dekaney Takes a Loss

Dekaney was the 2-1 winner over Westfield when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dekaney Wildcats lost 6-0 to the Westfield Mustangs on Saturday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Westfield, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Dekaney will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spring at 4:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Westfield, they will take on Nimitz at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
