Lewis and Hayfield are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lancers will take on the Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Lewis is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Gar-Field on Monday. The Lancers fell just short of the Red Wolves by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Hayfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Washington-Liberty, falling 7-2.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2-2. As for Hayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Lewis came out on top in a nail-biter against Hayfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
