Preview: Harding University Rams vs. Piedmont Panthers
Harding University is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Piedmont an 11-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Harding University Rams will be home for the holidays to greet the Piedmont Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Harding University had to suffer through a rough 81-18 loss at the hands of North Mecklenburg. Harding University was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Piedmont, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-31 loss to Rocky River on Wednesday.
The losing side was boosted by Emily Polk, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Baucom, who scored six points along with five assists.
Harding University's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Piedmont, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
