Softball Recap: Granville Central Comes Up Short

Granville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Carrboro Jaguars, falling 15-4. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 16-15 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Myra Travis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Granville Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Carrboro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

While Granville Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
