Basketball Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Victorious

Elmwood-Murdock lost to David City back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Elmwood-Murdock Knights enjoyed a cozy 56-41 victory over the David City Scouts.

When it comes to explaining why David City lost, don't look at Cohen Denker. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points and five steals. Denker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelan Olson, who put up nine points.

Elmwood-Murdock's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for David City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Elmwood-Murdock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-33 victory against Falls City on the 17th. As for David City, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
