Preview: Haynesville Golden Tornado vs. Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers
The Haynesville Golden Tornado will head out on the road to face off against the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Haynesville was beaten by Haughton 87-38.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Jonesboro-Hodge, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against Lincoln Prep on Tuesday, falling 59-26. Jonesboro-Hodge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Haynesville bumped their record down to 1-1 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Haynesville came up short against Jonesboro-Hodge when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 59-49. Can Haynesville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
