Basketball Recap: East Carter Takes a Loss

East Carter lost against Rowan County back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Carter Raiders fell 39-31 to the Rowan County Vikings. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East Carter dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Rowan County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-13.

Coming up, East Carter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Elliott County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rowan County, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Morgan County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morgan County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Rowan County likes a good challenge.
