Soccer Game Preview: Lejeune vs. Hobbton

The Lejeune Devil Pups will take on the Hobbton Wildcats on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lejeune sitting on 11 straight victories and Hobbton on seven.

Lejeune is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Falls Lake a 1-0 shutout. Lejeune wouldn't have won without Scarlett McLean, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Hobbton made easy work of Vance Charter on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. Hobbton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Lejeune's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight contests. As for Hobbton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7-1.
