Soccer Game Preview: Lee vs. New Hope

The Lee Generals will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the New Hope Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Lee fell victim to Hazel Green and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 7-0. The Generals have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, New Hope had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand Mae Jemison an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won six in a row.

Lee now has a losing record at 1-2. As for New Hope, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Lee's way against New Hope when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Lee made off with a 5-1 win. Will Lee repeat their success, or does New Hope have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
