Basketball Recap: Noxapater Comes Up Short

Noxapater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Nanih Waiya Warriors and fell 53-25. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

It was another big night for Jaqurious Hughes, who posted 19 points for Nanih Waiya. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Prewitt, who scored ten points.

Noxapater's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Nanih Waiya, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Noxapater Tigers take on the French Camp Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nanih Waiya, they will challenge McAdams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
