Football Recap: Montevallo Comes Up Short

Montevallo fell victim to Sylacauga and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Aggies 33-0. The Bulldogs lost against the Aggies in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 15-7 score last time.

Zakorien Chambliss had an outrageously good game for Sylacauga as he rushed for 189 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.

Montevallo's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sylacauga, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Montevallo and Sylacauga will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs are set to challenge their familiar foe Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sylacauga will take on rival Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
