Ramona came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against King, but Clyde Zak wouldn't allow it. The King Wolves won by a set and slipped past the Ramona Rams 3-2 for which the team can thank Zak, who had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave him a new career-high.

King was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 14-25, 22-25, 17-15.

King's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Ramona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Roosevelt on the 6th. As for Ramona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Rancho Verde on the 6th.
