Soccer Game Preview: Independence Academy vs. KIPP Global

The Independence Academy Lions are taking a road trip to take on the KIPP Global Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Independence Academy duked it out with LEAD Academy on Thursday. The Lions lost 6-0 to the Panthers. Independence Academy haven't had much luck with LEAD Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, KIPP Global fell victim to Tullahoma and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, KIPP Global can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Tullahoma are ranked 22nd).

KIPP Global's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Independence Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
