Recap: Richmond Heights Spartans vs. Chagrin Falls Tigers
The Chagrin Falls Tigers typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Richmond Heights Spartans proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 55-44 win over the Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Richmond Heights also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Chagrin Falls still got an impressive performance from Lilly Stukus, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Amelia Bencko was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Richmond Heights has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Chagrin Falls, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.
Richmond Heights will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Beaumont School at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Beaumont School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday. As for Chagrin Falls, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cuyahoga Heights at 6:45 p.m. Cuyahoga Heights is coming into the matchup with four straight victories on the road, so Chagrin Falls is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
