Football Recap: Master's Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Master's Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 37-13 to the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since August 30, 2024.

Although Master's Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Jamison Blunt and Isiah Williams.

Santa Fe Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zyrell Thomas, who rushed for 95 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown. Thomas got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards. Reagan Korlacki was another key back, rushing for 170 yards on only 14 carries.

Coming up, Master's Academy will head out to square off against Seffner Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
