With a playoff win on the line, Ida Baker rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Mariner Tritons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 5, 2024.

Ida Baker's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Mariner, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Ida Baker will challenge Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Wave have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. Mariner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
