Baseball Recap: Hardee Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Hardee took on Clewiston on Friday. The Hardee Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Clewiston Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ryland Beumel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Braden Tyson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Hardee and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Clewiston, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Hardee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against IMG Academy Gold on the 11th. As for Clewiston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 win against Pahokee on the 10th.
