Basketball Recap: Lemmon Finds Home Court Redemption Against New Underwood

There's no place like home for Lemmon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 39-28 victory over the New Underwood Tigers on Saturday. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Despite the loss, New Underwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jocelyn Fulton almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Maranda Poor Bear, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Lemmon's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for New Underwood, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Lemmon will challenge McIntosh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Underwood, they will face off against Newell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Underwood is facing Newell at the right time seeing as Newell is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
