Basketball Recap: Oakwood Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Victory Christian

There's no place like home for Oakwood Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over the Victory Christian Vikings on Friday.

Victory Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Blake Straughn and Capers Jones. Straughn dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Jones posted six points along with five boards and four steals.

Oakwood Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Victory Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Oakwood Christian will venture away from home to face off against Anderson Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Victory Christian, they will head out to challenge Curtis Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
