Football Recap: Palmetto Ridge Comes Up Short

Palmetto Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Immokalee Indians and fell 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Indians are ranked 188th).

Cooper Hall threw for 40 yards on one of five attempts. Hunter Bray was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.

Palmetto Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Immokalee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Palmetto Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 19-12 defeat against First Baptist Academy on the 17th. As for Immokalee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 47-3 victory against Aubrey Rogers on the 17th.
