Football Preview: Newnan Cougars vs. New Manchester Jaguar

After each having a week off, the Newnan Cougars and the New Manchester Jaguar will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Newnan's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.

Newnan proved they can win big back in October (they won by 30) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by McIntosh 42-41. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Chiefs are ranked 255th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Newnan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kameron Davis led the charge by rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns.
