Softball Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Eaton Reds
The Brush Beetdiggers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Eaton Reds at 4:00 p.m.
Brush will head into Saturday's game ready to turn things around: they couldn't quite beat Northridge on Saturday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the nine-run loss they were dealt on Saturday. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and a double.
In other batting news, Emma Anderson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Sophie Morgan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eaton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .359 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Brush's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Eaton, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
