Basketball Game Preview: Hampton Bays Baymen vs. Mount Sinai Mustangs

Hampton Bays is 1-9 against Mount Sinai since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Hampton Bays Baymen will face off against the Mount Sinai Mustangs at 4:30 p.m.

Hampton Bays unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by Mount Sinai 73-22 on Saturday. The Baymen's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Mount Sinai's win came from a few key players Hampton Bays will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brian Vales, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Alex Campanelli, who earned ten points and three steals.

Mount Sinai smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.
