Basketball Recap: Ennis Mustangs vs. Jefferson Panthers
Ennis lost against Jefferson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ennis Mustangs fell 55-46 to the Jefferson Panthers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jefferson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kellen Meredith out in front who went 5 of 6 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Frydenlund, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.
Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Ennis won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lone Peak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
