Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on MAST Charter II with a sharp 15-3 win on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the KNIGHTS needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Rachel Vincent made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Vincent was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Jozalyn Rejniak was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Analyse Lopez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia Academy Charter gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Calvary Christian Academy by a score of 9-5. The Chargers have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.
Like Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, Philadelphia Academy Charter also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Gerace. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). Gerace was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Casey Pasco, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Milana Romero was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, their record is now 3-1.
