Castle View is 2-7 against Douglas County since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Sabercats will welcome the Huskies at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Castle View took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand ThunderRidge a 5-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Sabercats in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Jack Carmichael, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep ThunderRidge off the board. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Carmichael.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Feldhake, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Tyler Hart was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Douglas County got the win against Highlands Ranch on Wednesday by a conclusive 10-1.
Tyler Nunn made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Nunn was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Bricen Moore was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Max VanDeWalker, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Douglas County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highlands Ranch only posted an OBP of .222.
Douglas County's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Castle View, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
