Softball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Comes Up Short

Greater Nanticoke Area lost against Hanover Area back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawkeyes. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Kileigh Casey and Rilee Ruminski did some serious damage despite the final result: Casey went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Ruminski went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Ruminski has got this season.

Greater Nanticoke Area's record now sits at 1-12. As for Hanover Area, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.

Coming up, Greater Nanticoke Area will head out on the road to challenge Holy Redeemer at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hanover Area, they will be playing at home against MMI Preparatory School at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
