Basketball Recap: Zion-Benton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waukegan, Zion-Benton was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 42-37 W over the Mundelein Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-39 back in December of 2024.

Zion-Benton's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Mundelein, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Zion-Benton and Mundelein could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Zion-Benton will face off against Lake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 327 places (390 vs. 63). Zion-Benton is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Meanwhile, Mundelein (ranked 244th) will meet Stevenson (ranked 65th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
