Hershey waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hempfield Black Knights by a score of 6-3. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Black Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.
Maddie Bowe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Payton Smith was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Danielle Blaze was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Hershey hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Hershey's record is now 7-4. As for Hempfield, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

The Trojans will challenge Northern Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (223 vs. 59). Meanwhile, Hempfield (ranked 183rd) will meet Solanco (ranked 50th) at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
