Baseball Game Preview: Holly Bronchos vs. North Branch Broncos

The Holly Bronchos are taking a road trip to challenge the North Branch Broncos at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Holly managed to slip by Owosso the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bronchos came up short against the Trojans on Thursday, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, North Branch waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Panthers.

North Branch let Jaydon Hutchinson and Andrew Jerome run wild. Hutchinson got on base in two of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs, while Jerome went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Jerome a new career-high. Eli Hunt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Holly's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for North Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Holly suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to North Branch in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Bronchos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
