Meanwhile, Madison Christian played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 83-16 loss at the hands of Patriot Prep Academy. While losing is never fun, Madison Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while Patriot Prep Academy is ranked 231st).

Berne Union is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Madison Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Berne Union was able to grind out a solid win over Madison Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 44-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berne Union since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
