Basketball Game Preview: Hicksville Aces vs. Gorham Fayette Eagles

The Hicksville Aces will head out on the road to face off against the Gorham Fayette Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hicksville is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Fairview on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Hicksville lost 56-36 to Fairview. The Aces were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.

Meanwhile, Gorham Fayette was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 44-38 to Hilltop. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cadets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hicksville skirted past Gorham Fayette 51-48 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hicksville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
