Basketball Recap: Ste. Genevieve Comes Up Short

If Ste. Genevieve was feeling good fresh off their 75-12 takedown of Kingston last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ste. Genevieve Dragons fell 49-41 to the Fredericktown Black Cats on Thursday. The Dragons have struggled against the Black Cats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ste. Genevieve's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Fredericktown, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Ste. Genevieve will welcome South Iron at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Fredericktown, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Arcadia Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
