Softball Game Preview: Kent School Lions vs. St. Luke's Storm

The Kent School Lions will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the St. Luke's Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Kent School's offense. They fell 5-0 to Choate Rosemary Hall School last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, St. Luke's came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Saints.

Caroline D'Onofrio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellie Fatsi, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Millones, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
