Basketball Recap: Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Comes Up Short

Sangamon Valley/Tri-City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. The match between them and the Argenta-Oreana Bombers didn't end well, with the Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm falling 55-38. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Sangamon Valley/Tri-City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Argenta-Oreana, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City will take on Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran in a holiday battle at at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Argenta-Oreana, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Okaw Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
