Basketball Game Preview: Palacios Sharks vs. Hallettsville Brahmas

Palacios is 2-8 against Hallettsville since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Palacios Sharks will square off against the Hallettsville Brahmas at 7:30 p.m. Hallettsville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Palacios, who comes in off a win.

Palacios took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took down Tidehaven 47-31.

Meanwhile, Hallettsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 30-23 to Industrial. The game marked the Brahmas' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hallettsville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Palacios, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-14.

Palacios came up short against Hallettsville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 49-38. Can Palacios avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
