Baseball Recap: Teurlings Catholic Takes Down Ranked Northwood

Teurlings Catholic faced Northwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since March 22nd.

Carson Credeur looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

Teurlings Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Northwood, they moved to 31-5 with that defeat, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.
