Recap: Trenton Tigers vs. Celeste Blue Devils

The Trenton Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Celeste. Trenton lost against Celeste in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-9 score last time.

Celeste got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Compton out in front who scored 11 points along with six steals. Taylea West was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.

Trenton bumped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.6 points per game. As for Celeste, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will take on Wolfe City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Celeste, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Whitewright at 6:15 p.m. Whitewright's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Celeste's offense will have their work cut out for them.
