Basketball Recap: Lehighton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lehighton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Saucon Valley Panthers by a score of 46-44 on Friday. The Indians have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Jack Robertson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Saucon Valley, shooting 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Robertson has scored at least a third of Saucon Valley's points. Adam Clark was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points and eight boards.

Lehighton's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Saucon Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Lehighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saucon Valley, they will square off against Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Saucon Valley has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
