Basketball Recap: Archbishop Hannan Takes a Loss

Archbishop Hannan has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archbishop Shaw Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-53 back in December of 2024.

Archbishop Hannan's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Archbishop Shaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Hannan will host Kennedy at 7:15 p.m. on January 14th. As for Archbishop Shaw, they will challenge Warren Easton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
