Softball Recap: Gulf Shores Dolphins vs. Faith Academy Rams
Gulf Shores extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Faith Academy. They skirted past the Faith Academy Rams 6-4. The win was familiar territory for Gulf Shores who now have three in a row.
Anna Leigh Price spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Tia Titi was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of KK Jacks, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Gulf Shores has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 36-9-2 record this season. As for Faith Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-15.
