Softball Recap: Ferguson Comes Up Short

Ferguson lost against Satellite back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ferguson Falcons came up short against the Satellite Scorpions, falling 12-3. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly nine runs.

Amaya Santamaria was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Ferguson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. Satellite's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Coming up, Ferguson will face off against Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Ferguson has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Satellite, they will challenge Key West at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Satellite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.
