Softball Recap: Kermit Takes a Loss

Kermit lost against Fort Stockton back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kermit Yellow Jackets lost 16-1 to the Fort Stockton Panthers. The matchup marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kermit saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalysta Burrola, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Kermit has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Fort Stockton and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Kermit wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-0 loss against Pecos on the 21st. As for Fort Stockton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-8 win against Borger on the 21st.
